This is a 3 year old post of mine on TripAdvisor.com which never made it here!
But every monsoon i yearn to go somewhere - in case you share that feeling, i'm sharing this -....
The BEST reason to choose this destination in the rains is its short distance from home PLUS you can watch the rains, the waterfalls and feast your eyes on the greenery ...
We visited last weekend to experience the full glory of the monsoons - the fog, the sound of the raindrops pitter pattering, the waterfalls... i could see emerald green hills and silvery waterfalls right from my bed! The contemporary well appointed rooms were very comfortable. food at the Duchess was very good so was the service. we spent some time just sitting at the High Point bar to experience the breathtaking rain drenched views. It was our 1st stay here, we had visited earlier only to have lunch on a rainy day drive.
Room Tip: Valley view rooms - on a lower level but with a great view - its the mid level room category.
