An evening at Breeze, Powai - Mumbai’s new cool rooftop lounge bar

Last week we trooped off to Powai to experience this new lounge bar. On the 8th floor of an office building, (doesn’t Powai seems un-Mumbai like in its design?) this lounge bar is open on all sides has a double height ceiling and is the ‘burbs answer to Aer at Four Seasons.
Go for the gorgeous ambience and just for this it will win many repeat visits. If possible get a seat on the outer section to get an unhindered view of the lake and the twinkling lights of Powai. Done up in white with blue lights (very Greek) this is one fabulous looking place.
Breeze has a fairly wide Mediterranean menu, all veg! Yes vegetarian. Stick with the Mediterranean mezze platter, the spinach and parmesan tartlet and the hummous pita starter. Avoid the Turkish mezze platter and the zucchini fritters.
I’d rate the drinks as decent to good – we had 2 rounds of cocktails.
Cost per head Rs 1600/- including tip for 2 cocktails and appetisers to keep us going home hungry (we’d had Khichda for lunch so were rather full - more about that later)

I’d visit again and recommend you experience this lovely place soon. (Photos courtesy mumbai.burrp.com)
