Live preparation of food in open kitchen |
Had been planning to visit it since it opened and then managed to visit it 3 times in 3
days!
So here’s my take
Obviously the pastries are amazing. my favourites
are the pecan pie, the Paris Brest is to die for (Paris–Brest is a French dessert, made of choux pastry and
a praline flavoured cream) and the lemon filled éclair is yummy
Pecan Pie |
Filled croissant - vegetarian |
The savoury menu is available only till 6:30 pm though
coffees, pastry and shakes are available till 11:30 pm
The filled croissants are good – both the croque monsieur as
well as the vegetarian option with goats cheese are delicious
There are only 2 tables inside in the air-conditioned space
and possibly 8 high stools around the counter, if you don’t snag those then you
will have to sit outside alfresco– and watch the world go by on Hill Rd
The variety of coffee is amazing and I strongly recommend you
visit and have a coffee and croissant/pastry even if alone
Coffee Selection |
You can entertain yourself watching the staff prepare
pastries and the salads and sandwiches
Several varieties of bread are available - very Parisian
Bread display |
The only negative I noticed was that when I visited on a
Sunday the service was extra slow and the seasonings/fillings were not the same
as when the café was less crowded. Possibly teething problems, I hope it gets
sorted soon
